Autumn Leaves in Napa Valley

On Monday, we drove through the Napa Valley to see the changing of the vineyard leaves and taste a little wine. We enjoyed getting out in this beautiful weather and scenery.

Today, Hal had a successful knee replacement surgery. It took longer than expected to line up his bow legged left knee. He knows he has a lot of tough physical therapy to go through, but he does not want to limit future travel. We are both glad it is over and pain will only get less.

Boston for World Series win

I was in Boston when the Red Sox won the World Series for UUA presidents' meeting. Had a Boston dog with baked beans and onion rings. The state capital is right next door to UUA headquarters. A crowd gathered on Boston Common after winning to celebrate!

Casinos last night

Circus Circus, Belligo with stained glass &water show, then buffet French dinner at Paris! We drive more than 500 miles back to Danville tomorrow!

Hidden animals

Papa spotted a lot of hidden animals today. Look close at the tree to see it full of Monarch butterfly's. HE spotted a herd of elk on route 1. His most exciting was a mountain lion in the tall grass. We can't believe he spotted it while driving on a winding, narrow road!

We saw lots of things in Santa Barbara eating at the pier.
Not shown is a beach full if elephant seals. Tomorrow we go to Hollywood.
