Raise Your Children to Be Happy, Healthy, Complete

This article highlights well the kind of childrearing I witness in you'all.  It is also a great reminder for grandparenting and aunting . It seems a bit like an updated Til Evans kind of religious education.

It is good to be up early today, with coffee made by Nancy waiting for me, watching early morning sun at HOME in my living room... being appreciative of all we have here.

It was a good trip..... especially soulful Japan spiritual shrines, remembrance of horrific Hiroshima, enriching reconnection with Hiroko & Miki seeing the human part of Japan and the joy of walking trough a foreign neighborhoods holding hands with my loving partner, Hal.

My body is now 72, but able to take me through the day without much struggle.  I feel much gratitude for the blessings of my life.

Raise Your Children to Be Happy, Healthy, Complete

Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of LifeĆ¢€™s longing for itself.

Raise Your Children to Be Happy, Healthy, Complete

Parents today ... want the very best for our kids. We want them to be smart, athletic, healthy, kind, happy, polite, disciplined, creative and more. We want to give them everything! Kids on the other hand, are growing up bombarded by technology, needing to compete in every way, comparing themselves with others, trying to be perfect and please their parents, wanting to fit in. As a result, they are often anxious, stressed at a very young age, display behavioural issues, have little self esteem and are simply not happy. So, from the parents whose intention is so sincere, to the kids who are trying to keep up on all fronts, what needs to change? What is missing? Read on to discover why raising our children as conscious individuals is the best gift you can give to them. { read more }

Be The Change

Make an effort to not only be mindful around your kids, but also to raise them in a conscious household, to share with them what is true and beautiful and to treat them like a soul that is temporarily inhabiting their little bodies.
