I was told that hikers wear a whip around their neck to have handy if they meet up with s bear. The Romanian said that they crack the whip to scare the bear away. It sounds like a bullet shot.

Lunch in Sibiu, Transylvania

We took a very steep tram to the top where we worshiped as his memorial cell.
At the base of the tram was the training camp for famous Romanian Olympic gymnasts.
