Mother Theresa Memorial

Mother Theresa was make an official Saint last Sunday. She was born to a rich family in Skopje, Macedonia.
Her birth home was destroyed in earthquake so they built a memorial at the site of her church .

They redid the city center since 2010 with way too many statues. Protesters used colorful paint balls on many monuments a few months ago.

Pasha's Mosque in Tetovo

Macedonia. Colorful mosque. Western side of country the size of Vermont has Albanian people who are Moslem . Colorful interior and exterior.

Arrival home on Thursday evening

We are supposed to arrive at SFO around 4:30 on Thursday. There is a 50% chance we will miss our connection in Istanbul so we might come in on Friday. I will call Damrows from SFO.

The vein in my left leg continues to trouble me, but not hold me back too much. We walk 10,000 steps a day. I ordered a wheelchair to help me make our connection. I have vein surgery scheduled for Friday Sept 23rd in Pleasanton.

Eastern Europe is not exotic. Americans stand out and are treated special.

Texas people in tour group think differently than Californians but pleasant enough. We "relax " more with free time. I am reading with leg elevated and Hal playing games.

Our pace is going to be changing when we get home, but I look forward to it. Now I should be appreciating the lack of "to do" lists. Glad we are missing political calls. Looking forward to seeing ALL my grandkids!
