Unlimited hard cider as long as you can catch it. 5 course meal.. chorizo, fish omelette, fresh cod with peppers, thick cut of rare beef (chuleton )with sea salt, then cheese , quince and walnuts.

Thorough and friendly visit. http://www.chateaubernateau.com/ - château Ambe Tour Pourret / nice property (representing well the Saint Emilion appellation), medium size. Possibility to picnic on the spot on request (they sell good patés and wine). The average visit + tasting lasts 1hr/1hr15mn and is usually payable. The village of Saint-Emilion is not very big but very charming and the visit of the underground cellars including the underground church is a must (guided visits are organised by the Tourist Office). You can visit Saint-Emilion vineyards with the touristic train (Train des Grands Vignobles) or with a "tuk-tuk". the "tuk-tuk" can also take tou in the medieval village or the undergrounds of the Cordeliers cloister. There are also a lot of pedestrian paths in the vines and a lot more to do to discover the Saint-Emilion area. We are not wine producers but we have made our own selection of several wines which are of good quality and represent especially good value for money. You can discover our selection at La Petite Madeleine. You can buy wine directly at the properties when you visit a château. And in the village of Saint-Emilion, you will discover that there is no lack of wine shops. But sometimes, it is safer to just look without buying... We recommand La Maison du Vin which presents wines only from the Saint-Emilion appellation.
