We tasted, purchased and thoroughly enjoyed the wine from Northern Hungary this weekend.
I liked the fruity, dark "Bull's blood" from Eger. This life of food and drink needs to end for the sake of my body. We return to California on Tuesday.

Capital Hill
We took the bus up to see where the head of government lives with many tourists...changing of the guard, groups of boat tourists, gardens and monuments. Nice place to walk around, but Hal's knee limited our scope a bit.
Castle Hill with David
We were out from 10 til 4 using a family transport ticket that costs 3300 unlimited 24 hours for the 3 of us. We got a deal with more than 3 rides and so far we did more than 10 to save Hal walking very far with his bum knee.
We meet Leslie at 6:15 in Pest so we can use the pass some more! David is a great tour guide!

Lucky jumpy balls
Hal and I were walking Castle Hill in Budapest today and I saw a car brand named after my high school nickname "Jumpp". Later we saw a horse statute that reminded me of a horse I saw with my high school friends in Kentucky at a stud farm. Students at the university in Hungary rub the horse's private parts for luck before an exam. Notice they are polished golden.

Socialist Realistic Art
When regimes fall, so do their monuments. Throughout Budapest people couldn't wait to get rid of the reminders of their oppressors. One guy collected them, and put them in Memento Park outside Budapest.
They cut off Stalin at the knees and only his boots were standing.
