Music on cathedral

We went to the cathedral in Nice and heard a stringed quartet practicing. Music often sounds better under the big dome. Listen.

Côte d'Azur

We took bus 100 from center Nice through Monaco to Menton....right on the border with Italy. It took 1.5 hours each way along the beautiful coastline but only cost $2 each. We saw lots of beautiful boat harbors along the Côte d'Azur ....translates to Gold Coast because a lot of rich people like it.

We got a pizza in Menton along the water. Real thin crust like cracker with fresh lettuce, sliced Parmesan cheese and Italian ham. Wonderful.

The first time Judy was on this lower road was on the back of a motor scooter of an Italian she met in 1968. Papa and I think the 3 wheeled motor scooter pictured might be more our style...on sale for 7700 Euros or about $10,000.

Beach sounds

Atticus,
Listen to the rocks on Nice's beach rattle with the waves.
They do not have sand on the Rivera.
Papa and I walked today ... To the pebble beach, up to an old castle on a cliff and to a modern art gallery.

We made Nice

Look at the view from our room.... After 25 hours of travel.... Sitting at SFO and Frankfurt mostly.
Perfect weather. Taking a walk to check out our neighborhood. Elevator broken with 5 people stuck inside.... Thinking of KT in Paris.

Atticus' day in San Francisco

Atticus went to first ballet in San Francisco
First Gyros

Atticus is not afraid to try new foods anymore.
We went to San Francisco's main library after going down then up the BART escalator .
Atticus filled out the computer form to get his own library card. He can take out 50 books at a time…. and 10 electronic books for his trip to Hawaii next week.
He got to pick out the design on his own card.
We noticed the Children's Center was named after Fisher.
A great playground in the SF Civic Center outside City Hall.
Proud grandparents sat on the bench to watch. Free SF wifi there too.
Brad pushed him on the swing tire.
On the balcony of the SF Opera House.
Cinderella was a great beginning ballet.
We finished up with frozen yogurt in Albany on the way back to his car.
